Exercise
Regularly
Regular exercise can help to relieve the day's tension
- but not too close to bedtime or you may have a hard time
falling asleep.
Cut
Down on Stimulants
Consuming stimulants, such as caffeine, in the evening
interferes with falling asleep and prevents deep sleep.
Don't Smoke
Smokers take longer to fall asleep, awaken more often
and experience disrupted, fragmented sleep.
Drink Only in Moderation
Drinking alcohol before bedtime interrupts and fragments
sleep.
Unwind Early in the Evening
Try to deal with worries and distractions several hours
before going to bed.
Create a Restful Sleep Environment
Sleep in a cool, quiet, dark room on a comfortable,
supportive mattress and
foundation.
Make Sleep a Priority
Say "yes" to sleep even when you're tempted
to stay up late. You'll thank
yourself in the morning

Six shopping "musts" for
a mattress
Support
A quality mattress and foundation will gently support
your body at all points and keep your spine in the same body
position as good standing posture. When selecting a mattress,
keep in mind that your body should be able to relax, with
your spine supported in its natural curve. Otherwise,
your muscles work all night and you can wake up stiff and
sore.
Comfort
Mattresses don't have to be hard as a board to be good
for you, although some people may prefer a firmer feel. Today,
mattresses are built with luxurious new cushioning materials
and surface treatments, creating a plusher feel. While these
mattresses may feel more plush, the core provides the needed
support for your body.
Price
Buy
the best bed you can afford. Better quality mattresses are
built with more supportive spring units, more durable materials
and more comfort layers than lower end models. A better mattress
set ensures a more comfortable, deeper, more restorative sleep.
Durability
and Warranty
Durability refers to how long support and comfort will
continue. Like all products, a mattress and foundation gradually
wear out. Eventually, you won't receive the same support and
comfort as you did when the sleep set was new. That's why
you should reevaluate your sleep set annually.
Don't
look to the warranty to tell you how long to keep your sleep
set. The warranty protects you against product defects and
workmanship mistakes, not gradual loss of comfort and support.

Space
Select a mattress that gives you enough room for easy, free
movement, especially if you're sleeping with a partner. Couples
should select a queen or king-size mattress to ensure both
individuals have enough space to feel comfortable.
Matching
Sleep Sets
Matching mattresses and foundations are engineered to work
together. Mismatching sets, putting a new mattress on an old
foundation or adding, a board between the mattress and foundation
can impede comfort and reduce the useful life of the mattress.
Value
Buy quality products made with all new materials. Shopping
for the best value, not the lowest price, is a healthy investment
in your quality of life.
Keep
your new sleep set in good condition by following these care
guides.

Care Guide
Some
mattresses have specific care instructions provided by the
manufacturer. Always follow the manufacturer's recommendations
first. The following care tips are for the typical two sided
mattress set.
Flip
and rotate a brand-new mattress every few weeks to help smooth
out contours and even out body impressions. After a few months,
turn and rotate your mattress a few times a year to help equalize
the wear and tear that normally occur. Be sure to rotate your
foundation once a year as well.
Don't
use the handles to support the full weight of the mattress.
Typically, handles are designed to help you position the mattress
over the foundation. If used improperly handles may pull out
and damage the fabric.
Vacuuming
is the only recommended way to clean a mattress. A quality,
washable mattress pad will help keep the sleep set free from
stains. If you're determined to tackles a stain, use mild
soap, cold water, and rub lightly. Don't ever soak a mattress
or foundation. We recommend the use of a stain proof mattress
protector at all times to help avoid stains which void the
warranty.
Your
new mattress may seem softer and appear higher then your last.
This is because as better quality, more resilient padding
has been developed, mattress manufacturers are quilting more
layers of it to the surface of the mattress. It takes the
average person three to four weeks to adjust to the new feel.
A new mattress also puts your spine into a new, healthier
posture. Unfortunately, until you body becomes accustomed
to it's new sleeping position, many people experience some
discomfort and sometimes even back pain. This adjustment period
generally lasts no more than 4 weeks. Don't worry, this is
normal and you'll soon become accustomed to the new mattress.
The
use of the wrong boxes spring will void the mattress warranty
and may cause damage to your mattress. Do not put a board
between your mattress and box spring as it will cause your
mattress to wear out before its time.
Body
impressions in a new mattress indicate the comfort level is
conforming to your body's individual contours . These are
not structural defects, but normal occurrences in the superior
performance of the mattress. To equalize these impressions,
turn the mattress regularly.
Don't
let children use your mattress as a trampoline, since this
breaks down the inner construction and materials.
If
you have queen or king-size bedding, the set must be supported
by a bed frame with rigid center support for the warranty
to apply.
DO
NOT BEND OR FOLD THE MATTRESS!
